Q) My friend & I went to the casino 2 weeks back & we both won like 700 bucks from about 100. last wednesday we went back & won 8000 & we split the winnings. Heres what we did.. We had about 25 chips of which we spread over the roulette table with fewer chips on straight up & more on 2-way & 4-way splits. We won slowly but eventually we had quite a bit more chip. We started betting more straight up & started winning more & more. Eventually we were betting like 2 chips minimum on all the numbers & others ranged between 3 & 4 chips. The dealers were trying everything they could to stop us like switching dealers & spinning up very fast to try & distract us but we were in a 'zone' & couldn't be stopped. Till now still, I cant help but think that we had cracked the truth behind roulette & if we had stayed, we would have continued winning. We are taking 500 of our 4000 each & going back next week to prove this theory that we will win with this strategy. What do you think will happen? Why

A) American Roulette has a house edge of 2.75% if you get lucky and win on a trip you should stop or you will lose. If you take money from the casino and come back it's like money in the bank for us. Anyone that thinks Dealers spin to sections is completely mad I'm talking from 20 years casino Management experience.

Roulette Machine?

Q) I would like to know if anyone has any idea of glitches in roulette machines, ie, throwing up the same number sequences. This is because they are supposed to generate a random number, however, it is running a computer program, and theres no such thing as random in computers, its impossible. I think that these machines are absolutely disgraceful and should be banned, if it could be proven that they werent generating a random number, they would have to remove them. Now i am aware of a glitch with a certain machine, which throws out one particular number after the screen goes funny. Im thinking if any sequences were known about then ultimately, these machines would have to be removed as gambling machines, and a lot of people would be a lot happier, without being able to feed their wage into a machine to satisfy the addiction! I want to get something straight here, i dont play the machines, i just know they are fixed, and it doesnt seem right for the bookmakers to take peoples money off them like they do

A) If you are aware of 'a glitch' in a certain machine then report this unit to the Gambling commission. They have the powers to have it tested. However, that is not what you first asked. A lot of money has been spent to indeed create a random number generation program, what you are experiencing is the human perception of the events you have witnessed. You can only ever see the machine in use over a relatively short period of time, whereas the program is designed to be random over 60 x 60 x 24 x 365 x N; or over infinity if you prefer. Is the screen going blurry or is it your vision? As humans we are subjective beings. What seems impossible to many is just a product of probability normally. Like 'Player' I'm a casino manager too, and the 'impossible' things I've seen are in reality just probability.

Did you know that you can get cheated via online? - There seemed to rumor that the roulette is controlled by the online casino and they would control it to the part where they could lose less money..... A) When a computer is programmed to take a set percentage, there are no systems to beat it. Unless you can hack it somehow, the house (or betting shop) will always win.

So your study could define a set of factors and see what, if any, of your population of teenage gamblers has in common. For example: what is the income of the family the teenage gambler comes from; how many children in the family; what number in the birth order is the teenage gambler; are the parents gamblers; are the parents alcoholics; do the parents use drugs; is the teenage gambler an alcoholic; does the teenage gambler use drugs; does the teenage gambler engage in other thrill-seeking behavior besides gambling; are the parents divorced; which parent does the teenage gambler live with; at what age did the gambling begin; what is the grade point average of the teenage gambler; etc. And you could even ask if there's a history of Parkinson's disease in the family. Then you'll need to write an unbiased survey (which is an art in itself), decide if you'll conduct it in person or online, and find people who will agree to participate. A) Research the Martingale System. It's been around forever (no, you're not actually the first to think of this) and casinos love people who employ it! True, using this system will improve your likelihood of leaving with more than you came with on MOST every occasion, however the drawback is you'll find yourself risking far too much money (perhaps your entire bankroll) for a tiny (one bet) reward. I made a big mistake while gambling online, what can I do?
